Shaping the Future of AI

The NL4XAI project, funded under the EU’s Horizon 2020 programme to train eleven PhD candidates, announces its final conference and industrial event, scheduled to take place on 24 May 2024 at the DesignLab of the University of Twente, The Netherlands. The event serves as a platform to share the results achieved by the PhD candidates in the realm of Natural Language for Explainable AI and to foster dynamic discussions about future directions and initiatives in the field.

Featuring keynotes by renowned scientists in the field and demonstrations of the latest research in explainable AI, the event promises valuable perspectives and insights on the future of AI fairness and transparency.

Morning session:

We will start the day with several inspiring talks by speakers from academia and industry. 

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Maryam Amir Haeri, Assistant Professor at the University of Twente, on Fair AI
  • Joop Snijder, Head of Research Center AI at Info Support, on Explainable AI in Industry
  • Meike Nauta, Senior Data Scientist and AI Consultant at Datacation, on the Future of XAI
Afternoon session:

We will allocate time in the afternoon for an interactive session in which the PhD candidates from the NL4XAI project and related projects will be sharing and demonstrating their latest research outcomes on explainable AI. 

Representatives from industry and other organizations interested in AI are also invited to present their organization during this session.

Attendance to the event is free, but registration is required in advance. Please note that the event will be held in person only.
